{Conversation with the Husband}

So Joshua was asked to go full-time with his newest job as Executive Assistant to a college Professor/Ministry Director. They asked him to submit a proposal of what it would take to make it happen. So after much toil and honesty, Joshua submitted their request in which they respond with a resounding YES. This changes things a little, for the better. More money, more days off and more scheduling flexibility. He does have to leave for Montana the second week of June for some training, so for a few days Isaac and I will be alone. I am NOT looking forward to this at all.
I hate being separated from my Husband. It just sucks. We started off with a long-distance relationship and I told myself never again would I allow distance to come between us. There was a period of about 2 weeks some 3 1/2 years ago when he left for tour and I cried every night. In the middle of the week I got the address of one of the venues and had it delivered. Packed with cookies, hand sanitizer, extra toothpaste and a handmade journal. Ha I'm SUCH a Wife. He loved it, and told me he cried when he smelled my perfume when he opened the box.
I am missing him already. Bleh. I was even considering staying at the MIL house while he is away, I still might because what's worse than going to bed alone. Sad day.

We also talked about what we're going to do for our 5 year anniversary coming up in August. It's an ultimatum between new wedding bands or a trip. A few years back I actually lost my wedding ring. I thought that kind of thing only happened in movies. NOPE. Joshua still gets on my case about it! So we have talked about getting new rings. I LOVE pearls and diamonds so I want a pearl with diamonds on each side surrounding the pearl. I can't wait. We also talked about traveling somewhere. He asked me where I would want to go, and instantly I yelped, "BOSTON". Well to be exact, I said the East Coast. BUT Joshua has wanted to take me to Boston for so long...I daydream about the stories he has told me while being on tour. We wouldn't go until the Fall because come on, it's Fall on the EC. The colors, the crisp scarf weather, the pumpkin patches and other town fairs. OMYGOSH I can't wait! Well obviously it sounds like i've made my decision. Thankfully Joshua said with going FT at his job, we will see if we can make both work.

Here are a few different ideas for ring settings I like. I told Joshua from the git go that I would rather him take a metals class at some college and make me a ring. You never know, he might!

This would be perfect if it was white gold and a n Akoya white pearl! I love how it almost looks like a bow encasing the pearl. Source

#1 I hate when my husband is away too. I don't deal with it well.

#2 I love pearl rings too. Theirs something so special about pearls. We've thought about replacing my ring with one due to the fact we found out that it wasn't 'real' after we were engaged and moneyless. It was my great grandmothers and it was BIG hidden secret. Ted felt horrible. I didn't care but it's the ring I've always wanted and it's still very pretty. However, it's cracking so eventually something needs to happen.

#3 Boston is such a good choice. I found some pretty inexpensive places to stay on vacationrentals.com there.

Wow- that's crazy about your wedding ring...the ring I lost wasn't just one he purchased from the store either...it had been in the family for years... "( I'm still pretty bummed about it.
Thanks for the site referral, I'll definitely have to check it out! Also, when the time comes for us to start planning our vaca, could you let us know what are some really great spots to shop/eat/play?

I love the ring you pick out, so pretty. Thankfully Adam give me an anniversary ring on our 3rd anniversary so I have been wearing that but it doesn't feel the same...
